This week in Shieldinch… Pete and Mikey’s paranoia spirals out of control as they continue to run from the authorities; Lenny considers his next move now he knows who shot him; and as Angel prepares to head back to Berlin, Patrick has a big decision to make.
On the run and off his medication, Pete enters a manic phase while Mikey grows convinced they are being followed. Paranoid, the pair hide out in Mikey’s old flat which only serves to heighten Mikey’s fragile mental state and Pete’s anxiety.
A worried Caitlin reaches out and calls Pete on his mobile phone which spooks Mikey, convincing him he has been betrayed by his friend.
As Mikey’s world begins to crumble, Pete seeks help from the outside world which shines a light on his own mental state, forcing him to face up to some unsettling truths.
Also this week, having realised Amber was the one who shot him, Lenny struggles with what to do next.
Father Mulvaney suggests confession might lighten the load but Lenny is reluctant. Instead, Lenny decides to reach out to Amber and she quickly realises he’s on to her.
Elsewhere, as Angel prepares to leave Shieldinch, Patrick faces up to a life without her.
Bob urges him to follow his heart and start a new life in Berlin with Angel but he is frightened he will break her heart again. With the Anderson trial over, this is Patrick’s chance to start over again – it’s now or never.
