This week in Shieldinch… Pete is stung by the realisation his bi-polar diagnosis unsettles some and turns to Mikey for support; fearing Lenny is on to them Alex tells Annie they need to sell Murdoch Enterprises urgently; and Molly and Liz decide to trade lives for a day – with surprising results.
Discharged from hospital, Pete’s bi-polar condition proves unsettling for some – Understandably, AJ is uncomfortable around his friend while Maggie makes it clear he is a burden to the family. Even Caitlin and Ellie’s concern agitates Pete.
Seeking solace, Pete sneaks back to the hospital to visit Mikey. Seeing how isolated Pete is, Mikey agrees to return to Shieldinch with his friend. With Mikey beside him, Pete begins to settle but it proves short-lived after Annie recognises Mikey from her past. She mentions Mikey’s mental health issues to AJ, so he decides Mikey has to go - triggering Pete’s mental state to spiral out of control again.
Elsewhere, fearing Lenny is on to them, Alex tells Annie they need to quickly sell Murdoch Enterprises. However, business deals are the least of their concerns as Lenny realises someone is tampered with his medication. As he puts two and two together, Lenny sets the wheels in motion to outwit Alex and Annie.
Molly and Liz trade lives for the day to prove to each other whose is harder. At first, Molly is unfazed by Liz’s laid-back lifestyle while Liz bears the full impact of being part of the Mullen family. But it’s not long before the two women realise how blessed they both are to live very different lives.
