Bethany prepares to dive in to the proverbail swimming pool. When Gary confirms that he has booked them a hotel for after the gig as a treat, Sarah is thrilled while Bethany hides her jealousy, dreading the evening ahead. There's a slight snag in Sarah's evening plans - Harry has got a fever - so she disappointedly informs Gary that he’ll have to take Bethany and Faye to the gig on his own. After consuming some vodka, Bethany lets herself into Gary’s hotel room and stages the old "I am struggling to do up my zip" routine. Oblivious to Bethany’s ulterior motives, Gary’s happy to assist. Conveniently for Sarah, Harry recovers and Gail is left holding the baby as his mum makes her way to Leeds to catch up with Gary and Bethany, hopeful she’ll still be in time for the concert.
Just then, Faye lets herself into Gary’s hotel room to be horrified at the sight of Bethany seductively draping herself across his bed.
As Andy continues to panic, he’s forced to come up with a plan to avoid being in bother with Greater Manchester's finest after he attacked Phelan. - Will Andy pay for what he did?
Assuring Norris that the social media world is their best plan of attack in tracking down Mary’s son, Gemma videos him on her phone as he makes a heartfelt plea for Jude to get in touch.
Gemma asks Bethany and Seb to share Norris’s video in the hope it’ll go viral and Jude might see it. - We see a compassionate side of Norris here, something we don't witness too often.
Meanwhile, David informs Gail that some random woman stole his wallet, he’s not bothered about the cash but it contained several photos of Kylie. David returns to the club and confronts Shona over the wallet but she denies all knowledge leaving David frustrated. Adam asks Maria to join him for a romantic dinner but Maria sends him on his ear, explaining that until her court hearing she’s focussing her life on Liam.

Bethany has to silence Faye.
Gary enters his hotel room, oblivious to the tension and a desperately embarrassed Bethany. Under pressure, Bethany is forced to admit she was planning to make a move on Gary. Faye is absolutely appalled. Bethany hands Faye over the hip flask full of vodka, Bethany attempts to buy her silence. Bethany and Faye accompany Gary for dinner in the hotel bar. Faye has delight in winding Bethany up and tells Gary how Bethany has got a crush on a bloke twice her age. Gary is shocked and berates Faye who storms off in a sulk - and gets drunk - as Bethany squirms with discomfort at the situation.
Alone with Bethany, Gary quizzes her about who she's fallen for, wanting to know who the man in question is. - Will Bethany confess all to Gary and potentially ruin her mum's relationship with the handsome Mr. Windass?
Meanwhile, Andy needs money as he desperately tries to avoid the police finding out about him assualting Phelan.
It wouldn't be the Bistro without a catastrophically messed up delivery and today is no different as Steph has accidentally ordered far too many tablet computers to the restaurant. Realising his luck might be in, Andy comes up with a plan. Hating himself, Andy surveys his workplace to ensure there’s no-one about before letting himself in and stealing the box of electronic devices. - Will he get caught?
Maria's self-destruct button is well and truly pressed. Maria admits Liam is fed up of being stuck in at home with her, Kirk offers to run him to the school disco and Maria is grateful. Finding Maria alone in the Rovers, Adam joins her as Aidan inner green eyed monster comes out to play. An intoxicated Maria later pleads with Aidan to stay the night with her, telling him she doesn’t want to be alone. - Will Aidan agree?
When Leanne expresses enjoyment about Peter and how he’s turned his life around, Nick begins to feel uneasy. Shona retrieves David’s wallet from a bin and studies the photo of Kylie with interest. When Michelle unwittingly plays Norris’ video, asking for help finding Mary’s son, Rita, Audrey, and Erica listen open mouthed. Mary runs from her Weatherfield local mortified. Norris explains he was only trying to help but will Mary accept this?

Kirk calls in at the salon flat and is unimpressed to find Maria worse for wear and Adam in a state of undress after spending the night - with what he sees, he doesn't stay long.
Maria snuggles down to watch a bit of telly with Liam but in her hungover state she falls asleep.
While Maria sleeps, Liam makes his way to the kitchen where he unknowingly switches on the gas cooker leading to dangerous vapours spitting out of the appliance. Kirk returns to the flat and immediately notices the smell of gas, he then strongly requests to Liam that he should go outside, Mr. Sutherland then follows, carrying his dazed and confused sister.
A little bit later In the Rovers, Kirk tears a strip off Adam, blaming him for pouring alcohol down Maria's neck. When Adam makes a derogatory comment about Maria, Aidan loses his temper it and hits Adam in the face with one almighty punch. As Maria arrives at the pub, she notices Aidan favouring one of his hands. Realising the perfect opporunity to gossip, Beth explains to the confused hairdresser that Aiden was defending her honour. Touched at the gesture, Maria escorts Aidan back to her flat. As Aidan gazes into Maria’s eyes the young Mr. Connor delivers her the ultimate confession - he’s fallen in love with her! - Will Maria reciprocate?
Maria isn't the only one in Weatherfield with a hangover, Faye is also suffering with one so Gary produces a list of chores to be carried out as punishment. When Bethany tries to apologise to Gary he gives dismisses her unsympathetically. Faye thanks Bethany for taking the blame over the vodka. Luke may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he does manage to notice Bethany is in turnmoil on Maxine’s bench. Putting 2 + 2 together and making 5, Sarah believes Bethany is missing and therefore starts to panic. Gary heads out to find her. After an unsuccessful search for Bethany, Sarah tells Gary she’s phoning the police.
Nick hands an excited Simon two tickets for the County football match, however, how will Nick respond to Simon saying that he's going to invite Peter along to the game and not Mr. Tilsley himself?
Realising The Bistro has been burgled, Robert erroneously suspends Steph, pointing out there’s no sign of a break-in and continues to point out that it was her job to lock up. Being upset with Robert, Steph vents her woes on to Andy and explains she’s thinking of handing in her notice because there's no point in her being employed if she can't be trusted by her employers. Andy is guilt-ridden.

Questioning as to why Aidan was so late home, Eva is lied to by Aiden, making out he spent the night at Underworld catching up on paperwork.
Aidan, Beth, Craig, Eva, Jenny, Kate, Michelle and Steve celebrates Christmas early at Maria’s flat with her before her court appearance.
Boys, a word to the wise - girls find out EVERYTHING and Eva is no different. She finds out the reason why Aidan lashed out at Adam, she is impressed with her boyfriend and Aidan feels awful about it as he loves Maria, not Eva. Aidan removes himself from the get together and wanders off in the direction of the factory. Inside Underworld, Aiden texts Maria who then promply meets him at his workplace. Maria is promised by Aiden that he will figuratively kick Eva to the kerb, Aidan and Maria share a passionate kiss, unaware of Johnny watching them. - Is the two secret love birds' game up?
The Barlow Family gather at No. 1 Coronation Street for an early Christmas. When Peter surreptitiously takes away a gift from under the tree and stashes it in a drawer, Nick arouses interest at what Peter has done.
An ungrateful Simon is dissatisfied with his present from his dad, a video game he’s already played. But when Nick gives him a drone, Simon is elated. Leanne tells Nick off for trying to one-up Peter, Peter leaves Ken's house and quietly books a hotel room. - For who?
The police interrogate Sarah about Bethany’s disappearance. Gary deliberately let's slip the fact Bethany has become involved with an older gentleman, Sarah is aghast.
Norris explains he saw Bethany on Maxine’s bench outside the salon and being the star witness he is, told them that Luke had his arm around her. Appalled, Gary challenges Luke and falsely accuses him of being a paedophile which Luke categorically denies while Faye earwigs worryingly.
An excited Billy receives an email informing him he’s got the job at the Rehab Centre.
Andy allows Stepph to accompany him to to the doctors about his headaches. As the kind doctor is distracted, he steals some painkillers from her emergency bag. Having got Michelle’s new TV from the allotment, Craig assists Tim with it, but the box tears and the television bounces off the cobbles like a basketball.

Aidan admits to his father that he’s fallen in love with Maria. Johnny warns him that Maria is a nightmare in comparason to Eva who would do anything for him. Maria goes back home to find Eva has went beyond the call of duty getting dinner prepared for everybody. Hiding her guilty-conscience, Maria thanks her. A tearful Maria explains to Liam that she she loves him no matter what happens and that she may have to leave for a while.
Eva talks with Aidan how stressed she is about Maria. - Will Aidan tell her about his other relationship?
Meanwhile Maria makes her way to court. - Will she be spending Christmas behind bars?
The Barlows settle down to a board game because it's 2016 and what else do we do at Christmas other than play board games an apologetic Nick returns. Leanne is happy but as she and Peter talk about old times and about their shared love of Bros, Nick feels ostrachised. While no-one is around, Nick pulls out the present that Peter hid away earlier. He is saddened to see a Bros tape labelled “to the love of my life”. - Is Peter planning to make a move on Leanne?
As Luke and Gary square up to each other, they spot Bethany heading for No. 8 Coronation Street. When a baffled Bethany assures Gary she’s been with a friend and not Luke, Gary unreservedly apologises to Luke for the misunderstanding. Sarah tears a strip of Bethany for causing so much worry and demands to know who the older man is. - As Bethany wishes the world would explode, will she reveal that the older man is Gary?
Later on, alone and deeply troubled, Bethany consumes more diet pills.
As Billy writes Christmas cards to his old parishioners, Todd thinks his boyfriend regrets his decision to leave the church.
Having bought a replacement TV, Craig & Tim carry it inside. Wrongfully assuming it to be her Christmas present, Sally is thrilled, but how will Steve react when Tim is forced to come clean?
Andy snares at the painkillers he stole, disgusted with what his life has become.
