Officers from Greater Manchester have released CCTV image following an attempted robbery in Leigh.
Police have released an image of two men to enlist the public's assistance in tracing these persons.
These men are wanted by GMP as they want to speak to then in connection with an attempted robbery on Bettison Avenue in Leigh.
On Friday, 1 November 2019, shortly after 11:00, two men threatened the occupants - a 73-year-old man & a 70-year-old woman - then subsequently demanded a quantity of cash.
No-one was injured during the robbery and the offenders didn’t leave with anything, however, the occupants were left understandably shaken.
The offenders fled the scene on foot and were seen running up Bettison Avenue towards Callow Drive.
Detective Constable Brendan Greally, of Greater Manchester Police’s Wigan division, said:
“This was a terrible ordeal the occupants had to endure in their own home. Whilst no one was injured, they were left extremely shocked by this incident. We are appealing to members of the public to assist us in identifying the men in the images we have released, as we want to speak with them in connection with the incident."
DC Greally is encouraging people to come forward.
