Morven & Vicki have garnered various talent from the Grampian region to showcase their abilities during the weekend.
Broad Street which houses arguably Aberdeen's most iconic building - Marischal College - will host the Main Stage as "Travel" Pete McIntosh & Lauren Mitchell from Jeff and Lauren In The Morning (Northsound 1) will be your masters of ceremonies, there. They will deliver enriched insights to the musicians before ushering the performers on-stage. To enable you to relax while the sounds play, event officials will provide you with comfortable bean bags which will be in-place just at the front door of the adjoining Greyfriars Church on the miniature field.
People have been celebrating Aberdeen since 2011 and the event which champions everything good within The Granite City will be one to be fun for all of the family.
A Celebrate Aberdeen spokesperson has said:
"Emily has been a key member of our volunteer team over the years, helping to make both the Celebrate Aberdeen weekend and the awards a reality."
She was surprised by the breakfast duo on Northsound 1 this morning.
"The race begins at 10.30 from its starting point at the Music Hall, continues up to Holburn Junction and then down Union Street to the finishing point beside Brewdog where the medal giving ceremony will take place."
Members of the public from Primary 6 to adults and war veterans can participate in the race which has been described as "a rare chance to run a full mile through a city centre".
Megan McHugh - who recently moved from being Mike MacDermid's traffic & travel anchor to her own late-night show called "Hits Chilled" airing on Radio Borders, Clyde 1, Moray Firth Radio, West FM, Fourth One, Tay FM, and also Northsound 1 - will be running. Event goers will remember "Travel" Pete undertaking the 1.6 kilometres.
Members of the public should be aware there will be alternate bus routes across the entire weekend but will return to normal on Monday.
There will be activities on both Saturday and Sunday, also loads of freebies to take advantage of.
Everyone is welcome.
