Valentine Ruth "Ruthie" Henshall is a musical theatre actor, singer and dancer.
Ruthie was born on Tuesday 7 March 1967 in Orpington, Greater London.
Her father was a journalist and former editor of East Anglian Daily Times.
Ruthie made her stage debut at the age of 19 in The West Cliff Theatre.
In the early 1990s, Ruthie performed in a touring production of "A Chorus Line", portraying the role of Maggie.
It wasn't long afterwards when Ruthie made her West End premier as Jemima, Demeter, Griddlebone and Grizabella in Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats".
Ruthie trained at Surrey's Laine Theatre Arts.
Henshall once dated Prince Edward for a number of years.
She married her "Peggy Sue Got Married" co-star, Tim Howar, in 2004. The couple have two daughters. The pair are no longer together.
