An interview with Samia Longchambon from Coronation Street about all things Christmas.
The questions asked were put to Samia before Christmas 2016.
What’s your plans for this Christmas?
Family time, enjoying Christmas and going to France at some point as well after Christmas.
What does Christmas mean to you?
Christmas is time to be with my children and spending time together.
When do you usually start your Christmas shopping and when do you put up your tree?
I’d say once it gets to December, the countdown is on then so I usually start then.
Beginning of December is when we put the tree up.
What’s the best Christmas present you have ever received?
I remember receiving a Pepsi Max mountain bike when I was a kid. That was the best Christmas present because it even had an alloy wheel on the back that said Pepsi Max and I thought that was really cool - the best mountain bike ever! I was probably only about nine.
Who will you be spending this Christmas with and who does the cooking?
My husband and the kids and we will have family coming over. I always cook Christmas dinner, I really enjoy doing it. It’s all about timing isn’t it so as long as you get everything ready and do all the prep it’s just down to timing.
What will you be watching on TV this Christmas?
Coronation Street, of course! It is a big time for Maria this Christmas so I will be watching her storyline, maybe behind a cushion.
What’s your favourite Christmas memory?
Now I have children it is all about them. Last year was really special because it was Yves first Christmas and now Freya is a bit older she understands everything more and really gets into it so I would say probably last Christmas.
Do you have a Christmas Jumper in your wardrobe?
Yes but I am going to get a new one. I bought Yves a little elf outfit the other day so that will be cute when I dress him up in that. We are going to have a Christmas jumper night out with our friends too so there might even be a bit of competition… who has the best Christmas jumper!
