British soap operas have a unique following like no other in the World and Coronation Street is not the exception.
Some avid viewers of the World's longest running weekly soap opera like to express their feelings and dedication to their favourite characters and storylines by creating customised videos with their most liked scenes or actors.
Recently, Coronation Street supporter, Hannah Lucy, has been producing some of her own customised videos to show her support but she isn't getting to enjoy them being online as someone on social media site, Instagram, has been illicitly downloading Hannah's videos and re-uploading them on their Instagram page.
It is unknown who the culprit is. It is unknown if it is a man, woman or a group of people - all we know for certain is their Instagram handle is "carchelle.editsx".
Hannah Lucy, on Twitter, has verbalised her frustration in Tweets regarding carchelle.editsx's fraudulent behaviour to her near 1,500 followers.
AndyGibsonTV.com stepped-in and attempted to assist Hannah in her struggle however Instagram's report feature is very lacklustre. It doesn't provide an adequate option to select such a thing as "content removal" based on Intellectual property being uploaded which is very disappointing on Instagram's part.
Hannah is now forced to implement a DOG (Digital Overlay Graphic) on her videos to indicate that she is the content creator and to stop people like "carchelle.editsx" from doing what they're doing. Including DOGs in certain videos is very time consuming and can cause problems in the rendering of digital videos.
AndyGibsonTV.com suspects "carchelle.editsx" has more than one Instagram account so please be cautious of nameless profiles as 'their' content is highly likely to belong to somebody else.
